Third party accreditation, safety Certification and style – Warden fire doors seals the deal across sectors

3rd September, 2021

Solar Calibre Doors, part of the Solar Group, will be exhibiting its range of highly accredited Warden timber fire doors at Housing 2021. Warden was engineered for multi markets, including social housing, Local Authority and care homes as well as high end, new build developments, the entire range exceeding fire safety regulations.

Rigorous testing has been carried out, to ensure full Certifire third party accreditation. Not only do they comply with EN:1634-1 and BS476: Part 22 standards, the FD30S fire doors exceed the required 30-minute fire rating for timber doors, with furnace testing on both sides and smoke testing to European standards.

The doors are tested with components and glassware – viewer, letterplate and handle – to ensure there is no room for error and all materials and components are fully traceable back to source.

However, this highest safety accreditation is not at the expense of style. The Warden range comprises 35 traditional and 42 contemporary designs, each with different groove patterns and glazing configurations, as well as a wide colour selection and all with a ten-year guarantee on the door, frame and glazing.

Not to be overlooked is the contracts service offered to customers, who can check the progress of their orders via a secure online portal and have the benefit of a dedicated contracts manager who can make sure production and delivery are on time and on budget. In addition, all doors are installed by Solar Calibre’s approved fire door fitters, again to ensure the doors are fully compliant.

Carl Lewis Managing Director of Solar Windows Ltd, said: “Our customers can be assured of our total dedication to safety – we go above and beyond what is required. They can also be assured that, because of the reach of the group in Huthwaite and Caerphilly, we have access to materials, production and distribution that can make the difference between delivering a project on time, or being held up by some of the distribution issues the industry has been facing in recent months. We offer ‘one stop shop’ capabilities, with a high success rate in fulfilling customer orders and meeting their deadlines, something which is unfortunately not ‘standard’ across the industry at this time.”
